We have teamed up and are located in the studios at Dance University!(https://www.danceufl.com/)
Dance University offers a convenient location at 5002 Lena Rd, Unit 105, Bradenton FL 34211. We have 2 large studios to accommodate lessons and camps. Studio A provides a custom built open space to accommodate large classes and performances. Studio B allows for a more intimate setting for small classes and private lessons and has a professional fitness floor.
Dance University aspires to create and nurture a love for dance, and now Acting! Each student is deeply encouraged at every stage of of their journey to promote self esteem, leadership, and team building skills.
The addition of 941 Talent within Dance University is unique to Lakewood Ranch and Southwest Florida. Students and prospective students will now have the rare opportunity to pursue their dreams not only on the stage, but also on-camera.
941 Talent is not a Talent Agency or Management Group. Our studio is here to mentor and instruct students how to be "camera ready."
Talent Agents & Managers represent Performers by submitting for auditions, negotiating contracts, and having a mutually profitable relationship.
We at 941 Talent are here to teach students the art of Acting on Camera, and the Business of Acting, so they're prepared to pursue professional careers in TV & Film should they choose to do so.
Theater vs. TV/Film is like comparing apples and oranges! They are both performing arts, but completely different in nature.
The stage is meant for BIG performances, BIG voices, and projecting in front of a live audience. TV/Film is the art of capturing a big performance and shrinking the final product down to something as small as a smartphone!
The camera is an Actor's best friend... and we're here to help you team up!
At 941 Talent, you'll learn everything an Actor is taught in Hollywood about TV & Film! David lends his experience not only with the ART of Acting, but also the BUSINESS of Acting.
David's teachings, however, don't only touch on TV & Film. While Acting amongst your peers and learning from one another, you'll learn and improve on such things as communication skills, punctuality, reading and listening, speaking in front of others, self-confidence, and most importantly, you'll learn how to be the best version of yourself!
Whether you reach the stars or land somewhere on top, you'll be well equipped with unique tools that will help you excel in several areas of life!
Our Founder, David Gunning, has worked with powerhouse Agencies such as William Morris Endeavor, Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Next Models, to name a few. He has relationships in major markets such as Los Angeles, New York City, and Atlanta. He also works with a boutique agency, Level Talent, out of Tampa!
Representation is never a guarantee. Should you have the desire to submit to an Agency, David will discuss and assist you throughout the process.
A common issue with Actors is the age-old question, "I know I have talent but I have no idea how to get started."
For the business aspect of the TV/Film Industry, we recommend our Do's and Don't Class. In this class you'll learn some of the following:
- Do I need a great headshot?
- How much do headshots cost?
- How do I get an Agent or a Manager?
- What type of fees are associated with Acting, Agents, Managers, and Submission websites?
- What's the difference between Commercial and Theatrical?
- What are the steps of the audition process?
- How do I tape auditions at home?
- If I book a job, what should I expect for contracts?
- What's Union vs. Non-Union?
- What's the difference between high fashion modeling and print modeling?
- What does a Casting Director, Director, and Producer do?
- What should I expect when I get onto a set?
These are just a few of the subjects David will discuss, along with taking any questions a student/parent may have about The Business.
